This will take a little work. Get some polish remover and try to soften it enough to scratch it off with a plastic knife. Then if you don't get it all, its stripping time. Homer Formby's. Strip that section. And depending on if it removes some of the stain, reapply the stain, careful not to overlap. Then let it dry and polyeurethane over that. Good luck. (of course you can sand it if you have one)
If it was me I'd take some nail polish remover with a q tip and lightly rub it. I wouldn't rub like crazy but almost dab it until it's less noticeable.
Nail Polish. If it's a laminated wood floor, this will work perfectly. The pros use this to remove the glue that seeps up. If it's real, then again nail polish to soften it up, and then gently scrap it away with a dull knife. I would try this in an unobvious spot first so you can see what will happen. Good luck.
