Help removing nail polish from furniture?

The other day I was painting my nails on my desk, and even though I had a towel down I somehow managed to spill a little on my white desk. The spill was a little smaller than the size of a dime, and I thought about using nail polish remover, but I think that takes of ALL the paint! Please, any ideas?

All are appreciated! ;)Help removing nail polish from furniture?
How To Remove Cosmetic And Nail Polish Stains

Do you do your own nails and makeup? If you do, there is sure to be a time that you have spilled nail polish or other cosmetics on your furniture, clothing, or flooring. The only way to keep from having nail polish accidents is to do your nails in the backyard while you are naked! Other cosmetics like foundation, blush, mascara, and eye shadow also cause stains that may be difficult to remove. It is best to learn how to take care of those nail polish and cosmetic accidents before they occur so that you will be able to treat them as soon as they happen. Treating the stains as soon as possible will help your success rate in removing the stain completely.

Nail Polish Acetone Remover For Nail Polish Stains

Nail polish remover takes the polish off your nails, doesn鈥檛 it? It will work on most nail polish stains, whether on clothing or furniture. Apply the nail polish remover to the stain and then lightly blot the stain. Apply detergent and warm water to make sure that you have removed the stain completely and then wash as usual with your detergent. You may have to apply the nail polish remover and blot several times to remove all of the nail polish stain. Do not give up!Help removing nail polish from furniture?
Eventually, when its dry enough, you can peel it off
I would go to a furniture store and ask for the professional advice.
LOL Can't you just use a wet towel and wipe it?
try alcohol wipes
I would try lifting the spot with a razor blade. Be sure and wet the area first, so you don't scratch the finish of the desk.

Acetone (polish remover) will eat into most finishes, so if you do use it, try applying it to the spot with a q-tip. Very carefully and wiping with a damp cloth before it damages the finish. Hopefully, it would soften the polish and let you take it off.
