My sister spilt nail polish remover on our hard wood floor. It left a white stain. Is this permanent?How can I remove nail polish remover stain from hard wood floor?
Try lighter fluid before you go refinishing your floor. Acetone, the solvent in NPR, turns white in large quantities. It may be just a heavy residue left over on the floor. swab with the fluid and see if this helps. Olde English will help hide the area if it doesn't completely go away. yes. It removed the polyurethane finish from the floor. The only fix is to reapply the ';clear'; coat finish.

Sand it then stain it.
