If the nail polish remover didn't work, petrol will. Take a clean cloth and wet it with petrol. Rub over the stain and leave it soak a while. Rub over with a dry cloth. Then repeat with petrol. It will come out.
Alas, but after five years of trying I have to say that nothing yet made will remove the nail varnish without leaving another and possiably worse stain. Petrol (gas) will only stain worse, as will any oil based product, and varnish/polish thinners have the undesired side effect of both thinning the fabric and damaging the fabric color.
